Dennis Enns Bio
Dennis started his musical journey at the very early age of five. He studied with Edward Parker, working towards his teacher’s ARCT. He furthered his studies with Ellen Silverman and Robert Rogers at Douglas College and later at UBC. For the past 45 years he has run his own private piano teaching studio, teaching students from the ages of 5 to 85. He has also been a music instructor at Christ for the Nations Bible College and Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford.
Over the years, he has had many performance opportunities, including playing for Jimmy Pattison on board his yacht the Nova Spirit, as well as Dal Richards, Bill VanderZalm (former BC Premier) and many weddings, restaurants and special events. His former jazz trio (under his name ) had actively performed for over 12 years in numerous venues.
He has adjudicated several festivals (both classical and popular) in the greater Vancouver area over the years.
After living in Surrey for most of his life, he and his wife moved up to the Cariboo to be close to family. His hobbies include walking,waterskiing , gardening, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
